New for 2010……Children’s Clinic at Remedy

We hear many good reports about Reflexology helping Adults, but did you know Reflexology is a wonderful tool to help keep your children healthy. Children respond well to touch and they usually respond to Reflexology faster than Adults!

Reflexology for children can help many issues inlcluding:

• Sleeping Issues
• Digestive upsets including constipation and tummy aches
• Coughs and Colds
• Blocked up sinuses/congestion around head and nose areas
• Hearing issues
• Strengthening lungs thus aiding good breathing
• Boosting immune systems – a must when at nursery or school!

• Growing pains
• Stress or sadness
• Unsettledness
• Confidence and self esteem building
• Helping concentration levels

At Remedy, Sole Nutrition will be offering Childrens (including Babies) Reflexology treatments. These treatments are carried out in a friendly, safe environment with childrens needs put first.

I will work alongside you as a parent/carer to get the best out the treatments for your child…this will include listening to you as the most knowledgable person for your child, listening and observing your child, treating your child with respect and listening to their wishes and this may also include advising you of specific Reflexology Techniques which may help you outside the treatment room if I feel this will be of benefit.

The childrens clinic will be ran once a month on a Saturday morning. If you require more regular treatments or a different time appointment….then please contact me and we can arrange an alternative time if the clinic has space.

The Reflexology Treatment

Your intial consultation will be taken at a pre arranged time over the phone, this is to give you the opportunity to talk to me freely about your child without the worry of your child overhearing or interrupting. This will take between 20-30 minutes and is a very important part of the Treatment because this will help identify the best treatment needs for your child. Then we will make an appointment for you and your child to come along to Remedy at an allocated time to have Reflexology. We allocate 30 – 40 minutes for your childs first appointment, but depending on age this may vary. Also this allows time for your child to settle into Remedy and feel comfortable. All this is charged at the initial consultation rate – see prices.

Follow up appointments are allocated 30 minutes unless prior agreed with myself on your intial consultation. And will vary in time depending on your childs needs and age.

The treatment will be performed in a postion that best suits your child….this may be lying on the couch, sitting on your knee, laying on the floor/couch, sitting in a chair or even sitting in the magical bear rocking chair!

For all treatments a parent/carer must also attend with your child.

I have worked in the Reflexology field for 7 years now and I have a great interest in the family field, including working with Fertility and Maternity clients.

So it seemed only right to offer Reflexology to children aswell. I am fully qualified and insured and have experience with young children, mainly through teaching Baby Reflex to parents and carers – see my Baby Reflex pages for more information, Teaching YogaBugs to children aged between 2-6 years and being a mother myself to an amazing 5 year old - who I have learnt many great things from including kids love Reflexology if given the option!!
